Our Breeding Program: Our Pet puppies are sold on a reservation basis to APPROVED homes only. They must live indoors as a full time companion animal. A personal interview in our home is required before a reservation will be accepted. We typically plan 1-2  litters per year using only board certified clear parents. We screen for Hips/Elbows, Eyes, (annual) & Heart. Each breeding prospect must be a quality representative of the breed and possess true golden temperament.

We DO NOT support the breeding of "designer" breeds nor sell show/breeding prospects unless we feel that new owners are as committed to the improvement/preservation of the Golden Retriever as we strive to be. All show prospects are sold on Non-Breed contracts and must obtain certified clearances as well as a Championship or performance title.

The First Weeks: Puppies are raised in our home from birth to departure (@8 wks) and are very well socialized to kids, cats, everyday noises, and various surfaces. (grass, carpet, tile) We incorporate potty training @ 4 wks --puppies have a litter box in their pen. Outdoor potty trips begin @ 5 wks (weather permitting) We feel this aids in housebreaking once you bring your new family member home. A bit more work for us but a definite bonus for you!

Going Home: Puppies join their new families 7- 8 weekends following the litter birth. Each puppy will have been dewormed (3x) & tattooed &/or microchipped for identification. ONE puppy vaccination between 7 & 7.5 wks of age is administered as well as puppies have received a thorough examination by our veterinarian, complete with a certificate of health. Puppies are sold on  Non-Breed Agreements, as well as our own Sales Agreement with a Spay/Neuter clause . We offer a written 3 yr warranty on our puppies covering health and temperament.

NOTE: We follow a minimal vaccine regimen with our Dogs and Puppies
(research and recommendations provided.)
 

A Little Extra: We provide a Puppy Packet with indepth information & weblinks on all aspects of puppy development. A puppy Open House is hosted at 5 wks for new families to meet, and get together for some puppy play. Daily photos of mom & babes from birth to departure are posted on our website for new families to enjoy.

We are always available for puppy-tech support for the lifetime of your Arcane Golden. Our Dogs & Puppies are very special to us, so your call, email, letter or photo is very welcome, be it good news or puppy growing pains ;o)

Please NOTE: shipping - we will consider shipping on direct non-stop flights. There will be a $50 delivery charge to cover our gas & time. We feel this is a reasonable fee as we are 2.5 hrs from either the Pearson International Airport (Toronto) or the Ottawa International Airport. Shipping Crate and balance of puppy purchase must also be Paid in Full prior to puppy being shipped.
Our preference is shipping with WESTJET airlines.
